Today at Green Coconut Resort, we celebrated our annual Cake Mixing Event, where we gathered to mix a rich medley of dried fruits, nuts, and spices — the very first step in creating our festive fruit cake. - We laid out trays of chopped candied peel, raisins, apricots, dates, figs, cherries, almonds, pistachios, walnuts, cashews, and aromatic spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
- A generous pour of rum and brandy was added, and our team and guests each took turns stirring the mix while making a wish for the year ahead.
- After mixing, the blend was packed into airtight containers to soak and mature over the coming weeks, allowing the flavours and aromas to deepen before baking.
